Benefits of Automatic Capping Machines

Capping machinery can take many different forms, often depending on the type of capping used and the level of automation required. When production demands reach a certain level, automatic capping machines become almost a necessity, but even for low to medium production facilities, these packers have benefits.

1. Speed

Automatic capping machines can also increase the number of bottles or containers that are sealed on a production day. Manual capping, even with semi-automatic caps, takes time because each requires the operator to manually place the cap on the container before tightening it. Automatic machines include a cap delivery system that allows the operator to dump bulk caps into the hopper from time to time.

2. Versatility

Most automatic capping machines can handle a wide range of cap types and sizes as long as the tightening principle is the same. For example, spindle cappers are used to tighten screws on caps. However, automatic spindle cappers can handle flat caps, motion caps, flip caps and even trigger sprays. Different cap sizes usually require only some simple tool-free adjustments to convert from one to the other.

3. Ease of operation.

As mentioned above, once operational, the operator usually only needs to resupply bulk caps from time to time. Setup of the capper will consist of adjusting the bottle and cap combinations to be run. However, in most cases, adjustments will be made using height switches and simple manual knobs for capping components such as spindle wheels, clamping belts, conveyor guides and similar aspects of the machine.

4. Consistency, reliability, safety

When the capping process is automated, one of the biggest benefits is the repeatable operation of the capping machine. Because every cap and bottle is tightened in the same way, automated packaging equipment provides consistent, reliable and secure seals. Semi-automatic or manual capping will rely to some extent on manual labor, which includes factors such as fatigue, which can lead to inconsistent sealing and lost product. A well-maintained automated machine will handle these factors.

5. Integration

Finally, almost all automatic capping machines can be easily integrated with existing packaging lines. If a powered conveyor is being used, the machine can simply roll into an existing line and start running production after setup. In the absence of a conveyor, automatic cappers can be built with their own conveyor and set up as the first step in an automated complete packaging line.

Why you can't directly measure the torque output of a capping machine?

As you might expect, we discuss torque with our customers every day. People certainly have a lot of questions about how to measure torque. They want to make sure that the proper torque is applied to the cap. So naturally, many people who are new to caps want to find a way to directly measure the torque output of their capping machine. The ideas they usually try are logical and well thought out, but unfortunately, they can lead to inaccurate results. Our purpose here is to explain why.   Many people understandably assume that if they put a bottle into a cap torque tester and then tighten the cap with a capper, the tester will tell them what torque the capper just applied to the cap. Unfortunately, this is not the case. If the cap is screwed onto the container very slowly, the cap torque tester will only measure the torque applied to the cap.  A capping machine  can tighten caps very quickly. The sampling rate (how often the cap torque tester reads the torque output) of the cap torque te

How Do I Know When a Process Should Be Automated?

Automation can improve the efficiency, safety, accuracy and speed of a process, but it also requires careful planning. There are many factors to consider and it can be difficult to know when a process should be automated. If you are wondering about automating a process at your processing plant, manufacturing plant, or another facility, consider the following. How to Know When a Process Should be Automated 1. Current Process Time vs. Projected Process Time Time is one of the most important factors to consider when deciding whether a process should be automated or not. A machine will perform most simple and repetitive processes faster than a person can. However, it is not only the individual process itself that should be considered, but the surrounding processes as well. 2. Accuracy Requirements Accuracy is another important factor to consider when a process should be automated. If machines are installed, maintained and programmed correctly, they will perform the same task, the same way,

What Problems do you Encounter When Using the Powder Packaging Machine?

Powder packaging machine can be described as a type of equipment in packaging machinery. It is aimed at products such as powders and powders. Since these products are composed of relatively fine dust, there will be some waves in the production process. Therefore, it is very important for it to make the production of powder products and reduce dust flying and other issues. So when it comes to powder packaging, what are the problems with powder packaging opportunities? As a   Pouch Packing Machine Manufacturer , I would like to share with you. Coffee Powder Packing Machine After many tests of the powder packaging machine, it is found that there are some problems in the packaging of dyes. If these problems are not handled properly, it will directly affect the quality of the packaging. So if the automatic verification system is set up, will it be changed? When packaging dyes, one operator is still required to assist the equipment to complete the work together. For example, the putting of e
